Flat Screen TVs - Reaching The Point Of Saturation?

Children are taught early that an excess of anything is a bad thing. However, is this the case when you are watching television? Certainly giving to much of your free time watching TV is not good for your health, however what if you have the ability to raise the quality of your viewing pleasure? Generally speaking Flat screen TVs end up under the maxim of 'bigger is better', however you need to understand the variations in technology prior to going into such a major purchase.
The problem in the past was that not all flat screen televisions were better than their round screen cousins. The monitor for your personal computer was highly popular and provided a resolution of very high density. That flat screen was implemented over to big screen televisions. There is a huge problem with those huge monstrosities. As the screen size was increased, color and resolution became distorted. Therefore, a person would have a giant picture, but the quality wasn't as good as that of small 27" televisions.
When indviduals talk about flat screen TVs in a world that is so technologically advanced, the majority of them are citing a LCD or a plasma television. With a plasma TV, the size of the screen does not matter, as far as the resolution is concerned. The high concentration of pixels and corresponding programming in the television can offer up an incredibly clear and crisp picture. The 52" has the same picture quality as the 40" and sometimes comes equipped with motion software that makes on-screen movements very fluid.
As with anything being too much, sometimes the prices for these televisions can be more than the average consumer wishes to spend. When you compare flat screen tvs that are quite a bit more costly in comparison to their cathode-ray tube (CRT) counterparts. Consumers are going to pay for that technology. There are some 52" HDTV Plasma Televisions that come from Samsung that can get up to $4,000.00 and that may be more than you want to spend on a boob tube.
Flat screen TVs are very nice. No one is disputing this fact, but it is up to each individual consumer to make that decision on whether or not the price is right for them. Sure too much television is a bad thing and if you are someone who does not watch television often, then the expensive TV may not be a wise choice. But for those who live their lives around the latest technological gadgets, a plasma or LCD television cannot be beat.
