Selecting a Wrinkle Cream
By Julie Samtsonn | October 3, 2008
Which wrinkle cream is the best when it comes to hiding those tiny lines and crows feet that you have been battling? Everyone has a different recommendation and the fact is, not all wrinkle creams are created equal. Some have collagen and elastin, some have aloe vera, others have anti-oxidants. So how do you know which one will work the best?
Most of the good brands will have ingredients that will help to diminish wrinkles, but their effectiveness will depend on your skin type. For example you will find some types of skin that do not develop wrinkles as easily as others. Genes can play a part in this. Just by looking at your Parents you can observe whether one of them looks more youthful. Perhaps you will be able to inherit their genes and look younger than your age.
The first wrinkles that appear are probably the hardest to deal with. They are the first signs of aging and almost no one wants to admit they are getting older. For most people this is when the panic mode sets in and people start looking for products that will help them to get rid of those first little lines.
If you want to find something that works, check with people that use that product. They are the best advertisement for a product that does what it says it will do. The reviews of the product are another great way to find out if a product does what it claims. These are written by people who use the product and will tell you if it does not do what it is supposed to do.
When you read the reviews and see what other customers have to say about a product, you are not going to choose the product to use because they say it will make you look 20 years younger. You want the product to take away some of the wrinkles and you want to a look in the mirror without wondering who that is staring back. When you find the right anti-wrinkle cream for your needs it will make the lines and wrinkles appear to be less noticeable.
You cannot expect miracles. It takes 2 weeks or more for even the best performing anti wrinkle cream to work. Most can take as long as 6 weeks to see results. Just because you are not experiencing results in a shorter time is no reason to stop using the cream. The main thing is not to stop using the anti wrinkle cream.
It is untrue to assume that just because something costs more it will be better. It is an age old fallacy, because there is nothing to prove that a more expensive product will work better. Remember when you use the product you will then get a proper idea of its worth.
If you are totally confused by all the products on the market and have no idea of what type of anti-wrinkle cream you should buy, the best idea would be to consult your physician. He may be able to recommend the best product for your skin type.
