Do you know of someone that has back pain? A better and easier question might to ask you to list everyone you know that doesn't! Chances are that list would be much shorter. It's no surprise that there are many new medications being marketed every year that specifically target this problem; chronic and consistent back pain is becoming incredibly commonplace.
Why is chronic back pain such a prevalent problem in our society today? Our bodies are the same now as they were centuries ago, so why do you think this seems to be a current affairs issue?
Of course, back pain is is an extremely complex issue. Identifying the problem is difficult, if not impossible without a diagnosis from a trustworthy physician. But it's becoming more apparent that physicians agree that there appears to be some common elements in the source of back pain today.j And what is amazing is how often the back pain is caused by the patient themself. So what are some of the most widespread causes of ordinary back pain?
For one thing, being overweight is almost certain to bring about chronic and consistent back pain. This may be the one cause that most people just don't want to admit much less talk about! But your back is meant to lift and move only so much weight and anything beyond that means that it's being constantly overworked. If you had to carry around a bowling ball or a big sack of flour you know you'd be in some pain, and yet when a person is overweight they're doing the same thing! Most who lose even a good ten or fifteen pounds find that they get some relief from their back pain.
Who would believe that working out could be a universal cause of back pain? Huh? And you thought that extra 10 pound weight on your work out machine was going to solve your problem faster. Just use your common sense. You can't becoe Mr. Universe overnight. If you feel a cramp while you're exercising you can be sure you'll feel it latter when you get home, too. So if you feel a twinge after exercising or lifting weights, then you're probably overdoing it. Ease off a bit, the way to a good, healthy back is with a steady and consistent exercise program.
Yes, there are a lot of different sources of back pain. In our every day lives, we strain our backs constantly by lifting the kids, taking that huge back swing with your new golf club, or just carrying in a load of groceries. Warming up the muscles and do a good pre-workout routine to stretch your muscles will help tremendously. So take the time to stretch and warm up to preent undue strain on the back muscles.
So own up to these common problems of back pain. I know, sometimes it's eaier to ignore the problem. But by bringing these issues to the light of day, you can easily make changes that will help to alleviate the constant pain you're in. So decide now to turn a new leaf. Lose those few extra pounds, exercise with a back-smart program and make sure to warm up and stretch before doing any strenuous maneuvers. Back pain relief will be well worth the effort.
