You don't have to be a professional photographer to take professional looking pictures of your loose-skinned Shar Pei. You could use an expensive camera, but an inexpensive disposable camera, digital camera or camera phone is even better because it gives you the option of deleting your bad shots instead of paying to have them processed and printed. Use a digital camera if possible. Digital pictures also give you instant gratification, and digital cameras are greener (more environmentally friendly) than disposable cameras.

Digital photography makes it easier than ever to take stunning photographs of your Chinese Shar Pei. By following these easy tips, you can take Shar Pei pictures like a professional. You'll have Shar Pei pictures so great you'll want to put them in a digital photo frame at home or on your desk. You'll have fabulous pictures that you can print and paste in your Shar Pei scrapbook. Shar Pei pictures are perfect for your desktop wallpaper or for sharing with friends and family online. Your Shar Pei pictures will be beautiful if you follow these five tips for taking digital pictures of your dog. Capture your Shar Pei's personality in pictures.

Tip one is to prepare beforehand. Before you start taking your Shar Pei pictures, you should run through a mental checklist of everything you need: a fresh memory card with plenty of storage capacity so you won't want to get a memory card full message when your dog finally strikes the perfect pose, plenty of fresh batteries, and any treats, backdrops and props you want to use. Decide whether you'll take pictures of your Shar Pei indoors or outdoors. When shooting outdoors, secure the location so your Shar Pei can't run into traffic if you lose control of the dog.

Tip two is to get a friend to help you. When you're trying to take great pictures of your Shar Pei, you don't want to be concerned about staging your Shar Pei, posing your Shar Pei, lighting your Shar Pei - you get the idea. Ask a friend who your dog likes and who likes dogs to act as your assistant for a few hours and help you take pictures of your Shar Pei. The Shar Pei photo session can be a lot of fun, and you can give your helper a framed print of your Shar Pei as a thank you gift.

Tip two is to get some help. You'll have plenty to do once you start taking pictures of your Shar Pei. You can only do one thing at a time, and your attention needs to be focused on your work behind the camera - no pun intended. You need at least one extra set of hands to manage your Shar Pei, comb its coat, wipe its eyes, arrange the backdrops around it, and watch out for its safety, especially if you are taking your Shar Pei pictures out of doors.

Tip three is to plan your background. Nothing is worse than taking appealing Shar Pei pictures in front of a cluttered, distracting background. Instead, use a solid-colored, uncluttered background to make your Shar Pei pictures the best they can be. A green background, like grass or a piece of green fabric, looks especially good against the Shar Pei's deep tan coloring, but many photographers agree nothing looks better than a background of water.

Tip four is to use toys to keep your dog interested. Select a few colorful dog toys or a cute stuffed animal to include in your dog's pictures. If your Shar Pei is a puppy, the objects will help illustrate how small the dog is and make him or her look younger.

With these five quick, easy-to-follow tips, you'll soon be taking professional quality pictures of your Shar Pei.
