Does your animal have a certain toy that he likes to keep around with them? Does his ease come from having a crate or a kennel which is all his own? The next item on your list should include a gradual change. While a gradual relocation isn't always possible, it can really help simplify the burden on your dog. Spend some time each day at your new home with your pet dog, allowing them to become used to the new sights and smells slowly. This will help ease his nerves as you make the final move from one home to the other. Moving is never high on a person's list of fun things to do, especially if you are including pets in a relocation. It can be as traumatic for an animal to move to a new home as it is for a human.
